There are numerous programs to assist our Veterans, especially the homeless or disabled one.  The Health Care for Homeless Veterans Program (HCHV) operates numbers sites where they outreach physical, psychiatric, health exams, housing programs, Drop-In Centers,  work therapy treatment and referrals.  Ongoing case management is available to homeless veterans with mental health issues and substance abuse.

The Domiciliary Care for Homeless Veterans Program (DCHV) provides medical care and rehabilitation in a residential type setting on VA medical center grounds to eligible ambulatory disabled veterans.

There is also the Inpatient and Outpatient Health Care that Veteran’s receive.  In addition there is the Readjustment Counseling Centers also known as the Vet Centers that help veterans through community outreach.  They offer specialized services, such as group, individual and family counseling.  They help eligible veterans overcomepsychological difficulties or to resolve conflicts that may be contributing to their homelessness.
